Options' Technical Assistance Management Agency receives recognition from the Pakistan MoPW |
The Technical Assistance Management Agency (TAMA), a £9M programme of technical assistance to Pakistan's National Health and Population Facility, received high level recognition from Pakistan's Ministry of Population and Welfare. TAMA, managed by Options and funded by the UK Department for International Development from 2004-2007, procured and managed technical assistance, providing targeted support to build the technical and management capacity of seven key areas of the Government of Pakistan's health programme, including HIV & AIDS, malaria, TB, nutrition, population welfare, the Lady Health Worker programme and immunisation in all four states.
Dr Mumtaz Esker, the Director General of the Pakistan Ministry of Population and Welfare said:
"TAMA-Options has set an ideal example of demand-based quality TA provision to the public sector in Pakistan…On behalf of the Ministry of Population Welfare, I would like to place on record our gratitude to all the TAMA Consultants who worked on MoPW related (technical assistance) and provided assistance in preparing TA products."
