Anne Nolan
HIV & AIDS and Public Health Technical Lead
 
Anne Nolan has 20 years experience as an HIV & AIDS and health policy specialist. Anne is currently seconded to DFID, where she is the Acting Health Advisor for the newly formed AIDS and Reproductive Health team, which is part of the Human Development Group of DFID's Policy and Research Division. In her year long post at DFID, Anne is supporting the integration between the sexual and reproductive health and rights and the global AIDS policy and implementation agendas. She is also leading further development and implementation of DFID's sexual and reproductive health and rights agenda.
 
Anne has worked extensively on maternal health, HIV, TB and malaria within a number of developing countries for national governments as well as the United Nations, the World Bank, the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis, the United States Agency for International Development, the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) and others. Proficient in programme management and evaluation,  Anne has an in-depth knowledge of global policy, country experience and the HIV & AIDS services delivery.

Before joining Options, Anne was HIV & AIDS and Infectious Disease Adviser for USAID in Ethiopia and consultant HIV & AIDS Advisor for DFID Ethiopia. Her responsibilities included developing and monitoring HIV programmes including interventions for high risk groups. She also chaired the HIV & AIDS Donor Forum. She has particular skills in policy and communications, as well as knowledge of integration and aid architecture issues.
