Katie Chapman is a social development consultant with a strong track record in the social dimensions of human development policy and programmes including health sector reform, HIV & AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal health, and education. She has key skills in policy analysis and development, programme design, management, monitoring and evaluation, social analysis, including poverty, equity, social exclusion, gender and rights-based approaches, citizen voice and accountability, and stakeholder participation, civil society engagement and development of responsive, pro-poor service delivery and social protection policy and programmes. She has detailed working knowledge of DFID policies and strategies, including the scaling up agenda, and management procedures. Katie has worked in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Tanzania with a variety of aid instruments, including sector-wide approaches, a means of channelling aid money to developing countries to a defined health sector policy under a government authority.
