David Griffith has joined Options' technical team as a Private Sector Specialist. David has over 20 years' experience in international health policy focusing on the role of the private sector in health systems development. David has worked extensively on the role of the private sector in policy formulation and health planning, health financing, and scaling-up access to services with a particular emphasis on the technical areas of health systems strengthening, safe motherhood, sexual and reproductive health and HIV and AIDS.

David has specialist knowledge of and interest in support to orphans and vulnerable children, and in harnessing the capacity of the private sector to reach the poor. He is one of the leading international experts in output-based aid including voucher schemes, cash transfer systems, performance-related pay and social health insurance.
