Nancy Gerein leads the DFID-funded Nepal Health Sector Support Programme, providing support to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Nancy is a public health professional with over 30 years’ experience spanning research, health policy and service delivery. Prior to working in Nepal, Nancy was the Head of the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development. Before working at the Nuffield Centre, Nancy led health sector development programmes focusing on maternal, reproductive and child health, HR and health systems, and sector wide approaches. She has worked with DFID, CIDA, EU, WHO, GTZ and UN agencies, and governments and non-governmental organisations in Nepal, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal and Indonesia, and also in several countries in Africa.
