PEER allows programmes to gain more authentic insights with a particular focus on reaching marginalised or hard to reach communities. The PEER Unit works with programmes to produce evidence for the design of more appropriate and targeted interventions by understanding:
- Barriers to accessing services
- The real wants and needs of potential users as they perceive them
- Health seeking behaviour
- Drivers, opportunities and motivators for change
- Perceptions of services and client/provider relationships
The PEER Unit then works with clients to translate this understanding into concrete recommendations for their services.
