Sexual and Reproductive Health Specialist

 

Peter Carter has extensive public health experience in HIV/Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) at clinical practice and national government policy levels. He has a strong track record in policy development, programme design, management and monitoring and evaluation. Formerly, Nurse Advisor and Programme and Policy Lead with the HIV/SRH Health Policy Team at the Department of Health (UK) he has skills in team leadership, training and capacity building and significant experience of working closely with ministerial-level government counterparts.  Specific areas of technical expertise include development and implementation of national health care policy at government level, capacity building for SRH programmes and advanced clinical skills in sexual health/ HIV and contraception. Peter is also a qualified Sex and Relationship Therapist.
